Park at the North Merrimon Ingles to meet for this ride. Begin with a long and difficult climb up the windy and beautiful Elk Mountain Scenic Highway. It's worth noting that this road is narrow and sharing it with traffic can be a bit much for those that aren't comfortable with that. At the top, we reach the scenic Bull Gap overlook and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Once on the Parkway we head south for just a bit until we turn off on Webb Cove road, at Craven Gap, to begin the descent. Webb Cove is primarily gravel, which translates into a very fun, loose and fast downhill. Having a pump wouldn't be the worst idea, so you can air your tires down for this one. At the bottom, it turns back into pavement and is a relatively chill return to the Ingles parking lot. We will be doing this ride as a no drop ride, but that doesn't mean you should enter in to it without considering your fitness level and deciding if you're up for this. This ride is difficult, bit I promise it's a blast! Come on!
